This exhibition features vintage photographs by pioneering photographer Ilse Bing (1899-1998), exploring her career across Frankfurt, Paris, and New York City during photography's transformative mid-twentieth century era. Known as "Queen of the Leica," Bing worked alongside leading modernist artists during the birth of photojournalism and experimental techniques like photograms and solarization. The exhibition places her work in conversation with contemporaries who shaped her creative worlds, revealing her influences, process, and impact on modern art. On view at the Davis Museum from February 6 to May 24, 2026.
