The Streets Are Talking_ celebrates ten years of Street Theory and the first anniversary of Street Theory Collective’s gallery in Central Square, Cambridge.
Curated by Victor “Marka27” Quiñonez, the exhibition features OG Slick, Wane One, Sen2, Layqa Nuna Yawar, Marka27, Kenji Nakayama, Moses Mitchell, and Imagine. The group brings together regional and nationally recognized artists whose work is deeply connected to graffiti and street culture.
Coming from different cultural backgrounds and generations, these artists share roots in making art in public space. Their work brings the techniques, experimentation, and originality of the streets into the gallery, reflecting the influence of graffiti and street culture on contemporary art.
The exhibition marks a decade of Street Theory’s work with artists and communities and a year of exhibitions, artist residencies, music, and gatherings at its Cambridge home.
