Pieced

To accurately describe collage is to begin a lifelong discourse on technique, genre, and metaphor. Connecting related or seemingly incongruent elements allows for infinite exploration of line, plane, and the human condition, intersecting with personal history, politics, and domain. Pieced is a gathering of work that fuses process with conceptual framework. Using shears and tape, pixels and thread, residue and stain, the exhibition is part and parcel of the vibrant, and sometimes disruptive, language of collage.
