Photography Collective presents Collective Creators, a photographic conversation exploring collective art practices and creative spaces throughout Boston. In connection with the ICA Boston exhibition, AAMARP: Say it Loud 1977 - Present, and the artists of the African American Masters Artists-in- Residence Program (AAMARP) at Northeastern University, Photography Collective created a series of portraits of the artists to honor the impact of their work in Boston.
Juxtaposing portraits of artists within the AAMARP collective alongside self-portraits by teen artists within the Photography Collective program, this exhibition creates a direct, loud celebration of the connection of artists within Boston – regardless of age or experience – who unapologetically claim themselves as creators.
