From his early 1970’s wood carvings to new sculptures in bronze, steel and aluminum, the exhibition represents the arc of Dewart's artist’s fifty-year career. Greeting viewers as they enter the gallery, his signature piece, the one-ton granite and bronze Double Happiness, looms large. A diverse selection of sculptural work will be on display, demonstrating the breadth and depth of Dewart’s practice, which embraces both traditional and cutting-edge methods, from the lost wax technique to computerized water jet technology.
