Distillations gathers together works that emerge from a process of reduction—of boiling down, filtering through, and clarifying experience until only its most resonant elements remain. Like the alchemical act from which the exhibition borrows its title, each artist represented here engages in a practice of refinement: separating signal from noise, essence from excess, memory from distraction.
