Where We Come From features a large, fractured column wrapped in Kashmiri silk alongside six hand-worked prayer rugs that merge devotional imagery with the visual language of protest. Utilizing color, material, and form as their tools, Baseera Khan refuses the promise of fixed or monumental structures. Together, the works propose futurity as an ongoing process of revision, agency, and collective reimagining.
