The Fort Point Arts Community (FPAC) is delighted to host our
neighbors, Artist for Humanity. Since 1991, Artists for Humanity (AFH) has worked to bridge
social and economic divides in Boston by placing creative power directly into the hands of young people. For decades, AFH has provided under-resourced teens with paid, professional art and design employment. These opportunities continue to foster self-sufficiency, skills, and empower teens
through mentorship and real-world creative projects.
As we celebrate our 35th anniversary, we look back on more than three decades of fostering the next generation of artists, designers, and change makers. The impact of this work is reflected not only in the skills teens develop, but in the confidence and perspective they carry forward into their futures.
Yaron, Self-Portrait
This exhibition showcases a series of self-portraits created by AFH teen artists through the years. They are honest, imaginative reflections on who they are and who they are becoming. Each portrait
stands as a testament to creative growth, personal exploration, and the power of opportunity. Together, they tell a collective story of emerging identity, possibility, and the vibrant future these
young creatives are shaping for themselves and their communities.
