LaiSun Keane is pleased to present A Horse With No Name, a group exhibition marking the 2026 Lunar Year of the Horse. Opening January 9 and on view through February 28, 2026, this exhibition brings together works by artists: Antonia Barolini-Alvarez, Audrey Bialke, Benjamin Hawley, Ezri Horne, Noa Ironic, Raina Lee, Campbell-Lynn McLean, Cici McMonigle, Meghan Murray, Stacey Rozich, and Anna Danyang Song.
This group exhibition is a contemporary take on the horse, its symbolism, mythology, cultural resonance, and enduring presence across artistic traditions. The artists were given wide latitude to interpret the subject, resulting in a diverse range of approaches. They include a hand-stitched neoprene sculpture, a 3D-printed ceramic, and numerous unique styles of paintings and drawings.
Some works engage the horse directly, drawing from familiar English idioms or literal representations. Others take a more oblique approach, referencing mythology, pastoral traditions, and historical symbolism, or focusing on the physical beauty of the animal itself. Together, the works reflect both the horse’s deep-rooted cultural significance and its continued capacity to inspire contemporary artistic expression.
ARTIST RECEPTION - Friday, February 6, 5pm to 8pm
ARTIST TALK - Saturday, February 7, 1pm
