Inspired by Fay Chandler, a Boston philanthropist and arts advocate who began her artistic journey later in life, this exhibition gathers work by 60 emerging artists of all ages from the Greater Boston area. Featuring diverse media and conceptual lines, this show offers a broad survey of our rising local art scene beyond academic institutions.

The artists on view explore deeply personal narratives of identity and belonging across cultural, generational, and geographical boundaries. Many grapple with the complexities of being mixed-race or immigrants navigating between worlds. Other works also address systemic issues surrounding colonization, disability, racial identity, and LGBTQIA+ experiences within religious contexts.

Selected artists are exploring different levels of care by examining motherhood, caregiving, mental health, and generational trauma and revealing the emotional labor of nurturing and healing not only for others but for the land that we inhabit. Themes of memory's fragility recurs as well as a means to bridge past and present. Through diverse media, these artists transform personal struggles into powerful statements about resilience, ancestry, and self-discovery.
